Terms and conditions

The terms you accept by using this site.

Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Bright Play Days, the publisher of brightplaydays.com. By using this website you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

You can reach us about anything on this page through the contact form.

Who may use this site

The site is written for adults — parents, carers, grandparents, childminders and teachers. It is not directed at children, and we ask that anyone under 16 uses it only with an adult.

You do not need an account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy.

What you may do with our content

The activities, guides, stories, text, illustrations and printables on this site belong to Bright Play Days unless we say otherwise.

You may:

  • Use anything here with the children in your own family, classroom or setting
  • Print our printables for that purpose, as many times as you like
  • Quote a short extract with a clear link back to the page it came from
  • Share a link to any page, anywhere

You may not:

  • Republish our activities, stories or guides in full, anywhere, including on another website, in a newsletter, or in a printed publication
  • Copy the site's content in bulk, by hand or by automated means
  • Sell, license or charge for anything we have made
  • Use our content to train a machine-learning model without our written permission
  • Remove our name from a printable and present it as your own

If you would like to use something in a way this does not cover, ask us. We are usually happy to say yes.

Your responsibility when using an activity

Every activity on this site is a suggestion, not an instruction. You know the children involved, your home, and what they are ready for. Supervision, suitability and safety are your decision and your responsibility.

Please read the safety notes before you start. Where an activity involves scissors, heat, water, small parts or anything else worth care, we say so — but we cannot know your circumstances, and the final judgement is always yours.

Advertising

We intend to show advertising on this site to keep it free to read. Adverts are supplied by third parties and their content is not ours. We do not endorse advertised products, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them.

See the privacy policy for what advertising means for your data, and the cookie policy for what it sets in your browser.

Links to other websites

We link to retailers, organisations and other sites where they are genuinely useful. Some of those links are affiliate links, which are explained in the affiliate disclosure.

We do not control any other website. We are not responsible for their content, their products, their availability or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other side of it.

Accuracy and availability

We take real care to keep this site accurate, and we correct mistakes when we find them or when somebody tells us. But the site is provided as it is: we cannot promise it will always be available, always be up to date, or always be free of errors.

Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, from any activity you choose to do, or from anything on a website we have linked to.

If something on this site is yours

If you believe any content here infringes your copyright, tell us through the contact form with enough detail to identify it, and we will look at it promptly and remove it if you are right.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The updated date at the foot of this page tells you when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Can we count your visit? It tells us which activities actually help, so we make more of those. No advertising, no profiling, and nothing about your child. Cookie policy
