A story and something to make afterwards.

Each of these pairs a story with a simple activity that comes out of it — something to make, act out, hunt for or build.

It is a good way into a story for a child who would rather be doing than listening, and a good way to stretch a five-minute story into an afternoon.

The activity is always optional. The story stands up on its own if the making never happens.
