Stories that work best out loud.
These are the performing ones — repeated phrases, sound effects, characters who need a silly voice, and pauses where a child fills in the next word.
They work well with more than one child, and they work well for the child who cannot sit still for a quieter story.
The join-in parts are marked in the text so you can see them coming, which makes reading one cold much less alarming.
