Stories for Preschool
A little longer, with more to talk about.
Preschoolers can hold a story with a middle: somebody wants something, something gets in the way, and it works out. That shape is what makes a story satisfying rather than just pleasant.
These are long enough to matter and short enough to finish in one sitting, and most have something to talk about at the end.
Silly is welcome. A story that makes a four-year-old laugh gets requested again, and being requested again is what a good story does.
