Early Readers
For children starting to read it themselves.
Written for a child doing some of the reading: short words, short lines, plenty of repetition, and a story worth the effort of decoding.
Sharing the reading works best — you read one page, they read the next — so that the work is spread and the story keeps moving.
Early reading is slow and tiring. A child who wants you to take over is not failing, and letting them is the right answer.
